The Balkhi Foundation Higher Education Scholarship seeks to help talented young people make college more attainable through a $1000 scholarship. These one year awards are granted to exceptional high school seniors accepted to a US based college or university who demonstrate a financial need. To be eligible for the award, students must have at minimum a 3.5 (weighted or unweighted) GPA.
Of students who apply to the Balkhi Foundation’s Higher Education Scholarship, students in Florida majoring in Education are eligible to be considered as the Balkhi Foundation’s Rotary Scholar. This Scholar will receive a renewable $1,000 annual scholarship funded by the Rotary Club of the Northern Palm Beaches.
April 1, 2022 – Applications Open
April 14, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST – Initial Applications Close
April 21, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST – Deadline for Teachers to Complete the Foundation’s Recommendation Form
Early May 2022 – Finalists Notified and have one week to provide Transcript and Admission Form
Late May 2022 – Winners Notified
The 2021 Application will open on April 1st, 2022. Initial Applications are due by 11:59 PM EST on Wednesday, April 14, 2022.
