Prior to the Balkhi Foundation, the Balkhi Family worked with Pencils of Promise and the Cambodian Village fund to bring schools to engaged communities. With these philanthropies, the Balkhi family funded three schools serving children in Guatamala (Chuche Primary School, Vijolom II Primary School, Villa Hortencia Antigua Primary School) and one school in Cambodia (Syed Balkhi Center of Learning).
