The Balkhi Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of its K – 12 Technology Training Scholarship. This award, which provides up to $500 funding, is designed to allow Florida students with financial need in Kindergarten through twelfth grade to pursue advanced technology training.

This scholarship is designed to fund participation in events, trainings, and internships that give talented students hands on skills in technology such as the Girls Who Code Immersion Program, Code Fever Youth Training, FIRST in Florida Competitions, Tech Sassy Girlz Summer Programs, Black Girls Code Events, and CyberPatriot Competitions. It is our hope that Florida’s future software developers, website designers, cyber security experts, network engineers, and technological mavericks of the world have the knowledge and training they need to be successful from an early age.

To be eligible, applicants must be a K – 12 student in the state of Florida with a passion for technology and foundational knowledge in the area they wish to study. A teacher’s recommendation and a statement of the student’s interest in the program are required. If a student is selected for funding, a parent or legal guardian must sign a statement of commitment stating they are aware of the student’s enrollment in the program and that they intend to facilitate the student’s attendance to the intended program. Applications are accepted year round and will be considered until funding is depleted.

Full details and applications can be found on our Technology Training Scholarship application page. Students or parents with questions regarding eligibility should contact the foundation using our contact form.
