The Balkhi Foundation Experiential Learning Award – University of Florida
The Balkhi Foundation’s Experiential Learning Award is designed to level the playing field for psychology students at the University of Florida. A psychology degree is the Swiss army knife of degrees – equipping students with tools and expertise in data science, analytical reasoning, and fact-based formulation while understanding the true impact of uniquely human thinking. This endowment is designed to help fund experiential learning opportunities that give students hands-on experiences applying their theoretical knowledge to state of the art technology, data modeling, or data science. First awarded in 2024, this award is given annual and administrated by the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida.
The Balkhi Foundation Endowed Scholarship – Palm Beach State College
The Balkhi Foundation’s Endowed Scholarship at Palm Beach State College is designed to support the needs of students graduating from Palm Beach Lakes Community High School, a traditionally under resourced school that consistently produces students ready to enter a career or pursue further study. In partnership with Palm Beach State College, Balkhi Foundation Endowed Scholarship will help to level the playing field for students pursuing a Career Certificate Program or technology focused degree program by reducing barriers to attaining these marketable skills. This award, set to begin distribution in 2025, will reduce the financial burden of a quality education, ultimately fostering economic mobility and professional success.
